Toddler Care

Waddler & Toddler Program

Our bright and sunny waddler and toddler classrooms provide age appropriate learning centers where children may choose play activities of interest. The toddler curriculum is flexible to meet the individual needs of each child in the classroom. Activities and projects will focus on learning concepts, language skills, social skills, and an introduction to letters, numbers, shapes and colors.

Teachers engage children in conversation to encourage growing language skills. Children play outdoors on a daily basis (weather permitting) in one of our two enclosed age appropriate outdoor play areas. Children also participate in nature walks on our property and may venture on short walking field trips.

Together with parents, toilet training is also integrated into the program's day to meet the needs of the individual child. It is handled with respect and patience. Children are allowed to experience this milestone with gentle encouragement and at their own pace. Children are praised when successful and encouraged to try, try again next time when unsuccessful.

Waddlers are generally children 12 months to 24 months, and have recently transitioned from the infant program. Toddlers are generally aged 2 to 3 years.
